Training of Missionaries

Reading books does help in preparing one for the mission field, but the fastest way to learn is to be with an experienced missionary. We help new missionaries get their roots down by placing them with experienced missionaries. Training sessions are also held periodically at the missions building to help missionaries operate more efficiently.

Missionary Evangelists

We have a unique conception as to what a missionary evangelist should be. They are Stateside missionaries who travel to various countries where we have missionaries or national pastors. Sometimes these missionaries evangelists could be a retired, or semi-retired pastor. These men have the experience to be a help to other pastors and missionaries around the world. They conduct revivals in remote areas with the expectation of starting new churches and establishing a national pastor to continue the work. Many new churches have been started this way.

National Pastors

We believe that the national pastors can evangelize their own people with greater efficiency if we train them in the Scriptures and instill in them their responsibility of reaching their lost for Christ. We also know that if their country should close the door to missionaries, the national pastors would be the only hope of propagating the gospel to their people. We therefore provide operating funds to selected national pastors who are faithful to the Lord's work, but limited in their time because of having to work a secular job. Also, many national pastors can live on 5-10 percent of what it would cost to maintain an American missionary on the field. We think it is a wise investment in the Lord's work. Their funding comes from donors who designate their giving to them.

Group Projects

At various times we have groups of people, including young people, who volunteer for a project in a foreign country. One project may be to help build a building for the people to worship in. Passing out tracts, having street meetings, or holding Bible Schools are other great projects.

Mission Coordinators

A mission coordinator is a missionary that has accepted the responsibility of caring for national pastors on a particular field. It is most effective when the missionary lives here in the states and is able to travel back and forth to the field. The missionary knows of the various needs and is able to communicate this need to the churches, and thus he is able to raise up the support that is needed.

Golden Opportunities for the Golden Years

We provide an opportunity for retired people who always wanted to go to the mission field, but didn't have the time because of their secular jobs. Since most of their support comes from retirement funds, it is possible for them to enjoy the harvest of a mission field, assisting our missionaries who are already on the field. They are welcome to continue as long as their health permits.

National Pastors' Schools

For individuals who are proficient in the Scriptures and are seriously considering the mission field, you can get a "hands-on feeling" of the mission field by spending a designated time teaching national pastors the Scriptures in their own country. This is a good chance to see if it is God calling you or if your calling was your own ambition.

Nationals Visiting Your Church

From time to time we have National Pastors come to America and try to raise support. They would be glad to visit your church.
